The 6th Biennial ENSO Conference

In August 2019, Tampere University will host the biennial social ontology conference. This major conference will bring together leading philosophers and other theorists studying the nature of the social world and how to improve our models of it.

The Conference Series

The International Social Ontology Society (ISOS)  organizes two series of conferences. This conference is the sixth in the series of The European Network on Social Ontology conferences, whence the subtitle ENSO VI.  Previous ENSO and Collective Intentionality conferences were held at Tufts, Boston (2018); Lund (2017); The Hague (2016), Palermo (2015); Indiana University Bloomington (2014), Helsinki (2013), Manchester (2012), Rome (2011), Basel (2010), Konstanz (2009), Berkeley (2008), Helsinki (2006), Siena (2004), Rotterdam (2002), Leipzig (2000), and Munich (1999).


November 20th, 2018: Call for Papers available, abstract submission opens

March 16th, 2019: Deadline for submissions

April 15th, 2019: Notification of acceptance

May 15th, 2019: Registration opens

June 30th, 2019: Last day for updating accepted abstracts

August 7th, 2019: Last day of registration

August 22 - August 24, 2019: Conference!
